Junior Electrical & Automation Engineer
Are you at the beginning of your engineering career and looking for a role where you can learn, grow and gain hands-on international project experience?
We are looking for a Junior Electrical & Automation Engineer to join our Refrigeration and Automation Systems Engineering team. This is a great opportunity for someone who has recently graduated or is in the early stages of their career and wants to develop their skills in electrical engineering, automation and international marine projects.
At ALMACO, you will work with experienced colleagues and contribute to electrical and automation solutions used in catering and refrigeration systems onboard vessels. You do not need to know everything already - what matters most is your motivation to learn, your curiosity and your interest in working in an international technical environment.
What you will be doing
In this role, you will support the design, coordination and commissioning of electrical and automation systems for international marine projects. Your tasks may include:
Supporting electrical and automation design work
Preparing and updating technical documentation, schematics and specifications
Assisting with project coordination together with internal teams, suppliers and customers
Supporting technical reviews, project meetings and follow-up actions
Participating in testing, troubleshooting and commissioning activities
Travelling internationally to customer sites, shipyards and vessels during project phases
What we are looking for
We are looking for a junior profile - someone who is eager to learn and ready to take the next step in their engineering career.
You may be a good fit if you have:
A degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering or a similar field
Some understanding of electrical engineering, automation or control systems
Interest in PLC programming, electrical design tools and technical documentation
Good communication skills in both French and English
A proactive, curious and team-oriented approach
Motivation to work in an international environment and travel as part of the role
Experience with tools such as Siemens TIA Portal, Rockwell Studio5000 or electrical design software is useful, but we do not expect you to be an expert. We are looking for someone with the right attitude, willingness to learn and interest in developing into a strong technical professional.
Why join ALMACO?
This role gives you the opportunity to:
Build your technical skills with support from experienced colleagues
Gain hands-on experience in real international projects
Take part in onboard commissioning and site activities
Work in a multicultural and collaborative environment
Grow your career in electrical engineering, automation and marine technology
