Sales Assistant, EPC Division
About the role
We’re looking for a full-time Sales Assistant to join our EPC Division at ALMACO, based in our Turku office. This is a permanent position, and we are ideally looking for someone to start after the summer.
This is a great opportunity if you’re at the beginning of your career and want to grow into international B2B sales - or if you’re more experienced and looking to take a step in a new direction while learning how complex project sales actually work behind the scenes.
In this role, you’ll work closely with the VP Sales and support the flow of our sales activities. You’ll get hands-on insight into how large marine and offshore projects are identified, developed, and delivered - while building a strong foundation for a future commercial role.
This is not a passive assistant role, but it’s also not a “jump straight into selling” position. You’ll play an active part in keeping our sales work structured, well-coordinated and moving forward - and grow into more responsibility over time.
What you’ll be doing
You’ll help keep our sales activities on track and make sure things move forward smoothly. This includes:
Supporting the VP Sales in day-to-day sales activities
Preparing and maintaining sales materials and documentation
Coordinating inputs from estimators, engineers, project managers and other team members
Tracking timelines, approvals, follow-ups and key milestones across multiple opportunities
Supporting sales, proposal and handover reviews
Helping ensure our sales processes are followed in a structured and consistent way
This role involves working closely with different stakeholders across the organisation, so being comfortable following up, asking for input, and keeping things moving together is key.
What you’ll learn and grow into
This role is designed to grow with you.
In your first months, you’ll focus on understanding our business, customers and sales process, while supporting coordination and follow-up
As you gain confidence, you’ll start taking ownership of smaller workstreams and contributing more independently
Over time, you can grow into a key coordination role in the team - and potentially into a more customer-facing or sales-focused position
We’ll support your learning - you don’t need to have everything figured out from day one. Strong sales careers are built step by step, and this role gives you that foundation.
What we’re looking for
We’re open to different backgrounds and early career paths. You might have some experience in sales support, coordination, customer service or business operations - or you could be a recent graduate with the right mindset.
What matters most is how you work and approach situations.
We’re especially looking for someone who:
Takes ownership and follows things through
Pays attention to detail while understanding the bigger picture
Stays organised and calm when balancing multiple priorities
Communicates clearly and is comfortable asking questions when something is unclear
Enjoys working with others and keeping shared work on track
Is curious and motivated to learn and develop over time
This role suits someone who enjoys structured, coordination-focused work and wants to build towards a more commercial role - rather than someone looking for a very routine role or an immediate fully independent sales position.
Basics you’ll need
Strong written and spoken English (our working language)
Comfort with Microsoft Office and willingness to learn new tools
A relevant educational background or early experience (business, engineering, coordination or similar)
Nice to have (but not required)
Finnish or other languages
Any exposure to B2B or technical environments
Experience working with different teams or stakeholders
If you don’t tick every box, we still encourage you to apply - we care more about your potential and mindset than a perfect match.
This role could be a great fit if you:
Want to build a career in international B2B sales
Enjoy bringing structure and keeping things organised
Like working with different people and teams
Are curious about how large technical projects come together
Are motivated to develop step by step
Why join ALMACO?
You’ll learn complex international project sales from the inside
You’ll work closely with experienced sales professionals
You’ll collaborate with experts across engineering, project management and commercial teams
You’ll be part of a supportive, team-oriented environment
You’ll have a clear opportunity to grow your role over time
At ALMACO, we believe diverse teams make better decisions and build stronger solutions. We welcome applications from people with different backgrounds, perspectives and experiences. We review applications on a rolling basis and will start interviewing during the process, so we encourage you to apply as soon as possible.
