Electrical Design Lead, EPC Division
We are looking for an experienced Electrical Design Lead to join our EPC Division in Turku. In this key role, you will take ownership of electrical design for ALMACO accommodation solutions in complex, international EPC projects. Working closely with project teams and stakeholders, you will ensure high‑quality, compliant, and cost‑effective electrical solutions from concept through delivery, while managing quality, budget, and schedule across the electrical design scope.
What You Will Be Doing
Report electrical design progress and status to the Project Engineer
Prepare technical specifications and define scope of supply for electrical systems
Act as a technical support for internal stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle, including guarantee and warranty matters
Develop preliminary and detailed cost calculations for electrical systems
Prepare and maintain engineering schedules for the electrical design scope
Create purchase request orders and support procurement activities
Participate in technical meetings with shipyards, owners, and classification societies
Provide electrical expertise to Sales and Project teams when required
Perform factory inspections and quality control in cooperation with the QA department
Ensure compliance with ALMACO’s Quality Management System
Contribute to continuous improvement and development of engineering practices
What We Are Looking For
Experience & Technical Skills
Strong hands‑on experience in electrical design, covering both manufacturing and installation
Good understanding of construction practices, certifying authority requirements, and international codes and standards
A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering is preferred.
Minimum 5 years of experience in shipbuilding and/or offshore industry
Fluency in spoken and written English
Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office tools
