Support technical decision‑making together with the Project Manager.
Ensure design solutions comply with contractual requirements, regulations, ISO standards, and ALMACO guidelines.
Actively participate in continuous improvement and quality development.
Planning, estimation & follow‑up
Prepare and monitor engineering schedules, task breakdowns, and resource plans.
Support Sales & Estimation with technical input and cost calculations.
Take responsibility for design estimations and engineering budgets.
Maintain clear and structured follow‑up documentation for project reporting.
Technical coordination & communication
Coordinate and guide the daily work of the project design team.
Review drawings and documentation from customers, suppliers, and subcontractors, proposing corrective actions when needed.
Ensure smooth technical communication with internal stakeholders and external partners.
Organize and participate in internal and external technical meetings.
Documentation & compliance
Ensure all design documentation (drawings, specifications, material lists, manuals) is accurate, up‑to‑date, and compliant.
Report on design progress, risks, non‑conformities, and customer feedback.
Cross‑functional collaboration & support
Provide technical support to Project Managers, Designers, Procurement, Production, and Installation teams.
Support installation activities during dry‑dock phases, including occasional on‑site travel.
Contribute to process development, standardization, and engineering best practices.

Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
Solid 2D CAD skills and general 3D modeling experience.
Good understanding of engineering coordination and design processes.
Fluent in spoken and written English.
Experience in project engineering, design coordination, or technical planning is an advantage.
Ways of working
Structured and well‑organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Solution‑oriented and proactive when facing technical challenges.
Quality‑driven, with attention to detail in design and documentation.
Comfortable working independently in a fast‑paced, international environment.
Collaboration & mindset
Clear and confident communicator, both technically and cross‑functionally.
Team‑oriented, collaborative, and supportive of colleagues.
Open to change, continuous improvement, and learning.
Why join ALMACO?
A key technical role with real ownership and visibility across projects.
International projects in the cruise and shipbuilding industry.
Collaboration with experienced professionals across engineering, production, and project management.
A culture that values quality, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
